Experiencing heel or arch pain when you get out of bed in the morning? The pain is most likely coming from the plantar fascia.
Give this exercise a try to reduce the severity and duration of the pain.
Sitting on the edge of your bed, cross your affected leg over your non-affected leg.
Use the hand on your affected side to pull your toes back towards the front of your leg.
Hold this position for 30 seconds.
To check that you're completing this exercise correctly, use the thumb on your non-affected side to feel the arch of your foot. You should feel something popping out.
